Junior and Senior Assignmnets for the Week of May 3-6, 2015

Seniors
 
Monday- Final presentation by the Arizona Youth Coalition.

Tuesday- Students will then read chapters 14-17 in Insurgent and answer chapter questions concomitantly.
 
Wednesday-  Students will then read chapters 18-21 in Insurgent and answer chapter questions concomitantly.

Thursday- Students will then read chapters 22-26  in Insurgent and answer chapter questions concomitantly..
 
Juniors
 
Monday-  Final Presentation by the Arizona Youth Coalition.

Tuesday- Students will read the short story, "Araby."
 
Wednesday- Students will answer text-based comprehension questions citing specific examples from the text.
 
Thursday- Students will finish answering text-based comprehension questions citing specific examples from the text.

Seniors
 
Monday- Students will then read chapters 4-7 in Insurgent and answer chapter questions concomitantly.

Tuesday- Presenter
 
Wednesday-  Students will then read chapters 8-10 in Insurgent and answer chapter questions concomitantly.

Thursday- Students will then read chapters 11-13 in Insurgent and answer chapter questions concomitantly..
 
Juniors
 
Monday-   Students will then read, "Lamb to the Slaughter," written by Ronald Dahl, and answer short story questions with textual evidence.

Tuesday- Presenter
 
Wednesday- Students will watch the theatrical performance of "Lamb to the Slaughter," taking notes of the differences between the short story and the movie.
 
Thursday- Students will write a five paragraph essay discussing the differences between the short story and the movie.

Junior and Senior Assignmnets for the Week of April 13-16th 2015

AZ Merit testing will take place this week, so classes will be deferred to an alternate schedule.  
 
 
Seniors
 
Monday- Finish watching the theatrical production of Divergent in class. 

Tuesday- Students will write in their journal. Students will then read chapters 1-3 in Insurgent and answer chapter questions concomitantly .
 
Wednesday- Students will write in their journal. Students will then read chapters 4-6 in Insurgent and answer chapter questions concomitantly .

Thursday- Students will write in their journal. Students will then read chapters 7-9 in Insurgent and answer chapter questions concomitantly .
 
Juniors
 
Monday- Students will write in their journal.  Students will then read, "Love is a Fallacy," written by Max Shulman, and engage in a class discussion regarding a variety of literary fallacies. 

Tuesday- Students will write in their journal. Students will then create a poster explaining and illustrating the different types of fallacies discussed the prior day.
 
Wednesday- Students will write in their journal. Students will continue creating a poster explaining and illustrating the different types of fallacies discussed the prior day.
 
Thursday- Students will share their posters and watch a short theatrical depiction of "Love is a Fallacy."
